Our goal is to recognize filmmakers whose short films demonstrate their ability to produce well-crafted motion pictures.


We are proud to announce that we are a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non‐profit arts service organization. Contributions for the charitable purposes of Southern Shorts Awards must be made payable to “Fractured Atlas” and are tax‐deductible to the extent permitted by law.

1. It's a quarterly Competition & Festival for films under 30 minutes.

2. ALL entries receive a scoresheet.

3. The Festival is online and the Awards Presentation is live-streamed on Zoom!

4. All films are scored by 3 judges.

5. Cast & Crew may receive individual awards.
